Annotation:

The article presents the results of the paleogeographic conditions reconstruction of productive sediments formation of the Sortym formation of the Lower Cretaceous of the Yuzhno-Yagunskoye field (formations BS10–BS11). The core material of reference wells that have opened the formation in various areas of the object under study is analyzed. The material composition of deposits, textural and structural features, and organic inclusions were determined. Sequence of sedimentation was established. Sedimentation cyclic recurrence and its mixed transgressive-regressive mode is revealed. Each sequence represents cycle, the lower transgressive (clay) and the upper regressive (sand) parts of which are located in the offshore area. To interpret the conditions of productive deposits formation in the north of Yuzhno-Yagunskoye field, their material composition was studied and facies electrometric models of more than 300 wells were revealed. The paleogeographic conditions were reconstructed and it was found that the deposits main facies types are beach deposits, sands bars, including regressive ones, breakthrough gullies along offshore, lagoons, head parts of breakthrough currents, storm and tidal ridges. For paleogeographic reconstruction, the existing understanding of the conditions of the Lower Cretaceous productive deposits formation in the Western Siberia was analyzed. Analogous deposits were also studied. The paleogeographic reconstruction of the sedimentation conditions of the research object and the created model of sediments formation provides a reasoned detailed understanding of the reservoirs distribution and petrophysical properties laterally and over the section gives a correct idea of the geological heterogeneity and helps to better approach to the problem of modeling the object, developing oil reserves, optimizing the development system and selecting geological and technical measures.
