The role of salts in the distribution of regional hydrocarbon deposits in the Eastern Siberia

Annotation:

The article considers the most studied territories of the Eastern Siberia (Vilyui syneclise, Nepa-Botuobinsk anteclise, Suntar depression, Pre-Patom foredeep, etc.) from the point of view of interaction with salt bodies during the formation of hydrocarbon deposits. Salt formations themselves rarely contain significant hydrocarbon deposits. Large traps are formed around salt structures. For a detailed study of such complex objects, the eustatic model of global sea level fluctuations is used. Structural and stratigraphic factors of deposits formation under sedimentation conditions are given. Thus, it is shown that in the saline basin with predominantly strata (autochthonous) occurrence of salt-bearing deposits, the highest productivity of wells is noted. This is often typical for zones and areas affected by dislocations (orthotectonic or salt tectonic), which is clearly manifested in the east of the Siberian Platform. These objects can be considered as single systems – "salt-naphthide nodes".
