Influence of facies heterogeneity on the productivity of the upper jurassic deposits of the Povkhovskoye field

Annotation:

The article, using the example of one of the fields in Western Siberia, considers an attempt to establish a connection between various facies types of the Upper Jurassic deposits with starting indicators of wells productivity through a comprehensive accounting of geological-geophysical parameters. Based on the analysis of the petrophysical and structural features of the formation structure of the Upper Jurassic deposits, a technique has been developed for recognizing the facies type of deposits, determined by a quantitative parameter. As a result, for each well, a complex parameter was obtained that differentiates by facies type and characterizes the heterogeneity within the considered facies. The peculiarity of the method under consideration lies in the fact that within the typical facies (for example, a barrier island) the complex parameter will be different, but at the same time differentiate the facies at a qualitative level. The difference in facial conditions to a certain extent affects its productivity. As a result of obtaining a complex geological parameter, it became possible to establish the «geology-development» relationship at a quantitative level. Thus, a facies model of the YuV1 formation of the Povkhovskoye field was created, the author’s dependence and the dependences used in various research works were compared, a difference in productivity was revealed within one of the considered facies zones, the effectiveness of geological-technical measures in facies zones was analyzed.
