Annotation:

The Lower Permian deposits containing significant volumes of hydrocarbons in the Timan-Pechora petroleum basin are composed by genetically heterogeneous sediments, thus determining the uniqueness of the morphology, structure and properties of the reservoirs confirmed to them. These features are due to a variation of productive deposits accumulation conditions and its different response to post-sedimentary transformations.

One of the possible techniques of increasing the reliability of reservoir characteristics prediction is to use the results of sedimentation modeling performed on the basis of well and seismic data integrated interpretation. The article considers an example of such an approach implementation to prove the prospects for petroleum potential of the Upper-Artinskian deposits within the Kurino-Patrakovskiy site of the Upper Pechora depression.
