Annotation:
The article considers the specifics of the Malyginskoye gas condensate field, unique in terms of reserves, which is a strategic gas production facility of Gazprom PJSC in the north of the Yamal Peninsula.
The aspects of insufficient knowledge of the Middle Jurassic deposits with the main hydrocarbon reserves of the category (C1 + C2) concentration are touched upon; a low supply of core material samples and reservoir fluid samples as well as low coverage of standard gas condensate studies for almost all identified hydrocarbon deposits of the Malyginskoye gas condensate field are noted.
Solutions have been proposed to update the geological exploration program in order to increase the overall knowledge of the field and further high-quality planning of the operational wells placement. The concept of comprehensive preparation for the development of the Malyginskoye gas condensate field is presented and the stages of preparation are described, including the development of objects of the Lower Cretaceous complex (construction of exploration wells and trial operation) and the Middle Jurassic complex. After geological exploration the overall knowledge of the Malyginskoye gas condensate field will increase up to 52 %.
