Regularities of the trace element composition of caustobioliths and the crustal fluids based on the results of correlation analysis

Annotation:

The authors of the article consider correlations between the trace element (ТE) composition of various natural formations – caustobioliths, rocks, clays, hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon dioxide fluids (samples with different types of organic matter (OM)), with the chemical composition of the upper, middle, and lower crust and biota. The factual basis of the analysis is a database compiled from a large number of analyses of different authors. The results of such analysis quantitatively confirm the previously made conclusions about the polygenic source of ТЕ in naphtides, mud volcanic and carbonic fluids and allow estimating the depth of the corresponding fluid systems and the dominant type of the original organics. A number of new ratios between the correlation coefficients values of the studied natural substances compositions have been revealed, which allow using the ТE label to study natural processes and determine the position of a given fluid on the evolutionary scale of oil generation and subsequent oil degradation.

The results of the research indicate the wide possibilities of using the correlation analysis method to study the influence of endogenous and exogenous processes on hydrocarbons ontogenesis.
