Application of the algorithm of machine logging interpretation in regional studies of the Upper Jurassic deposits of the Western Siberia

Annotation:
One of the stages of exploration work is a regional evaluation of
resources. A number of parameters such as assessment area, oil-saturated
thicknesses, porosity, physical-chemical properties of oil are required to
estimate oil resources. Identification of reservoirs is one of the main tasks
of geology, especially complex, little-studied objects. This article considers
the methodology and results of an express-assessment of the effective
thicknesses of the Upper Jurassic deposits of the Western Siberia for more than
200 wells, located at a considerable distance from each other, characterizing
different types of the target deposits geological section. A machine algorithm
based on the method of well logging data interpretation made the
express-assessment possible. The interpretation method was developed on the basis
of the accumulated factual material (well logging, core, field geophysical
testing (FGT)) and tested on a number of fields. The algorithm was adapted
according to the data of reference wells of the Sredne-Nazymskoye field and, in
comparison with the results of logging and core interpretation, showed a good
level of convergence. To analyze the results of machine interpretation of well
logging of the zonal model, regional correlations of wells and a map of oil pay
thicknesses were built.
