A new approach to the technology of wells cumulative perforation

Annotation:

A new approach to the technology of wells cumulative perforation is proposed, which ensures cracks network formation in its bottom-hole zone that have the property of spreading deep into the productive reservoir during its development. It is shown that this property is possessed by cracks connecting parallel perforation channels formed by paired charges and located in a plane at an angle close to 45° to the horizontal plane. In this case, shear stresses determined by the difference in the values of vertical and lateral rock pressures lead to an extreme concentration of these stresses on the boundary lines of cracks and the penetration of these cracks deep into the rock.

At the same time, it is essential that the growth of compression stresses in productive reservoirs during their development, caused by a decrease of reservoir pressure magnitude, leads to an increase of shear stresses values at the boundaries of cracks and, accordingly, to the growth of these cracks. Increase of the crack system effective depth in the bottomhole zones of wells raises, correspondently, the filtration conductivity and productivity of these wells.
