Annotation:

The objects of the scientific research are local hydrocarbon traps on the territory of the Bereznikovskoye Paleoplato of the Perm Region. The relevance of the research is caused by the need to replenish the mineral resource base and compensate for the levels of hydrocarbon production. The aim of the study is to reveal the features and patterns of filling the Visean age traps with hydrocarbons to increase the reliability of the oil and gas potential forecast and the assessment of the resource base.

The article analyzes the distributions of traps filling coefficients on the territory of the Bereznikovskoye Paleoplato, discusses the developed method for predicting traps filling coefficients in the context of potentially productive layers of Tl, Bb using correlation and multiple regression analyses as well as geographically weighted regression. Continuous (regional) characteristics and discrete (local) characteristics of prospective objects, which reflect the structural features of hydrocarbon deposits formation within the traps, were used to develop models for predicting filling coefficients.

On the basis of the developed methodology, the filling coefficients and oil-bearing contours of the Tl, Bb reservoir traps were forecasted and the resources of promising objects at the research site were reassessed.
