Annotation:

One of the main methods of influencing an oil deposit, allowing to increase the oil recovery coefficient, is to maintain reservoir pressure by pumping water into the reservoir. When analyzing the water-flooding system, the development engineers face the task of determining the volume of injected water and its distribution over the area of the development object and its individual sections. The solution of this problem allows getting an idea of the mutual influence of producing and injection wells as well as identifying the quantitative distribution of effective and inefficient injection volumes. In this particular case, it is natural that the lack of control and management of water-flooding data can cause the forecast profile deterioration of the field’s production and a decrease of the oil recovery coefficient.

The article describes a methodological approach that allows quickly assessing the distribution of the water injection in the flooding cells and quantifying the effectiveness of the implemented water-flooding system.
