The necessity of carrying out a complex of works on additional exploration of the fields being developed is substantiated. The fields being in the late stage of development often have an uneven degree of exploration both in terms of the area and section. One of these ones is Sokolkinskoye oil field, which has been developed since 1980. A long period of operation predetermines the presence of a sufficiently large accumulated volume of geological, physical and field material. But despite the rather high knowledge level of the oil field geological structure, the discovery of new deposits and, accordingly, the increase in hydrocarbon reserves at the field currently goes on. Exploration wells 1056, 1057 were drilled in Odinochnoe uplift in 2013 for the purpose of additional exploration of the northeastern part of Sokolkinskoe field up to and including the Devonian deposits. А full range of studies on core sampling, testing of all possible oil-saturated intervals based on the conclusion of well logging conducted in the well, the study of the near-wellbore space by the method of offset vertical profiling (OVP), was carried out in the wells. For the first time, a deposit of the Tournaisian stage was discovered here, and the geological composition of the Bobrikov deposit was clarified. Current oil reserves estimation based on the results of these wells drilling was made in 2014. Compared to 2010, geological oil resource of A + B1 category increased by 10,9 %, B2 category increased by 17,6 % due to the drilling of new wells and bringing into production of Odinochnoe uplift discovered by seismic exploration in 2012. Since the main objects of search and exploration on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan are small-sized objects, preparation for their search should be carried out by seismic profiles grid of at least 3,0…3,5 lin km/km2 density. The timely reassessment of the geological information and the recalculation of hydrocarbon reserves are also important.
