Annotation:

Generalization of the previous results of the oil and gas potential study as well as the discovery of new deposits (including those ones in the Northern Seas washing the Siberian Platform) allows talking about hydrocarbon resources availability not only on land, but also in the adjacent seas of the Russian arctic zone. Despite the harsh climate (–60 °C on land and –40 °C at sea as well as permafrost), which creates significant difficulties when extracting hydrocarbons, the results of geological studies carried out in the north of the Krasnoyarsk region prove a high oil and gas potential in the Angara-Khatanga, Anabaro-Lena and Laptevo-marine oil and gas provinces.
