Annotation:

The article shows a case of study for one of the gas-bearing exploration prospects offshore Venezuela where apply the Quantitative Seismic Interpretation to predict reservoir parameters (porosity and net pay) seismically derived from pre-stack simultaneous inversion, in order to support the geological analysis for future well locations. Two gas field are located less than 5 km to the study area, in which proved gas bearing reservoirs were calibrated by rock physic and seismic attributes during this study. Evidence of bright spots, flat spots, dim spot, push-down effect, phase change, and gas mask effect were identified as Hydrocarbon Indicator of potential exploratory prospect areas. In order to evaluate and quantify the hydrocarbon potential of those seismic anomalies, it was carried out the Fluid and Facies Probabilities technique to predict lithology distribution; and for, porosity prediction, it was used the inverted P-Impedance cube. Finally, the uncertainty relate to petrophysical properties and traps conditions were reduce due to seismic attribute prediction based on parameters from nearby wells, and allow to use it for volumetric calculations, first for reservoirs evaluation (case of study) and then, for properties estimation in prospect areas.
