Annotation:
The authors of the article demonstrate a systematic approach aimed at increasing the reliability of geological-geophysical information for detailing the geological structure of the field under development. The systematic approach is based on the iterative use of 3D seismic data and three-dimensional geological modeling tools.
The use of advanced technologies for processing and interpreting geological and geophysical data and seismic material increases the information content of geological results. Updated, more reliable initial data are the basis of a three-dimensional geological model. The deterministic and stochastic modeling technologies usage make it possible to detail and reflect in three-dimensional space the very complex geological structure of the object being studied. The drilling of new production wells was supported using a three-dimensional geological model. An analysis of the drilling results was carried out, which showed an increase of the geological model reliability.
The result of applying a systematic iterative approach is to increase the accuracy of the forecast of the main characteristics of the geological model, reserves assessment and the efficiency of production drilling.
