Annotation:

The article presents the results of geological, technological and geomechanical modeling of the reef massif of the Western Dome of the Yuzhno-Orlovskoye field using the software package IS "RN-KIN" and "RN-SIGMA".

The structural surface of the Tournaisian-Famennian and Upper Franskian reef deposits with drilled and projected wells for predicting possible absorption zones of drilling mud of varying intensity is presented.

It is shown in 3D modeling format that complete and catastrophic uptake are confined mainly to the zone of the pre-reef plume, consisting of coarse-grained and weakly cemented carbonate rocks. Partial uptake occurs in the core zone of the reef and its reef zone. In most cases the absence of absorption is noted in wells drilled in the central part of the reef massif. With the help of the software package "PH-Drilling calculations", the profile and trajectory of the design well № 30 (conditional number) were built. In the process of constructing the 1D model, an interval was determined with incompatible drilling conditions in the Tournaisian tier – rock collapses and absorption of drilling mud. A recommendation is given to optimize the profile of the design well № 30 to prevent possible complications during drilling.

The article notes that the use of specialized software complexes of geological and technological (IS "RN-KIN"), geomechanical modeling (PC "RN-SIGMA") and drilling engineering calculations (PC "RN-Drilling calculations") provides a solution to the complex problem of forecasting and preventing absorption in the design of well construction in the reef deposits of the Samara region.
