Annotation:
The authors of the article note that despite the fairly good knowledge of the Samara region, Serpukhov deposits has purposeful not been practically researched, and this section interval of the Paleozoic sedimentary cover can be characterized as promising for the HC prospecting in this region. The Serpukhov tier can serve both as an independent object of searching for hydrocarbon traps and as a draping structure for overlying layers of the Bashkir tier.
