Annotation:
The paper under consideration is devoted to the problem of estimating the saturation of the pore space of gas caps of oil and gas condensate fields with bound (relict) oil. The analysis of the studies carried out to present time on this problem is presented. The types of bound oil and possible mechanisms of its formation in gas-saturated formations of saturation studies are described, as well as the influence of bound oil on the development processes of oil and gas condensate fields.
The results of a study of the issues of assessing the saturation of formations with bound oil based on mathematical modeling of a reservoir hydrocarbon system within the framework of a single equation of state of the gas condensate system and oil are presented. Based on these results, the impossibility of correctly estimating saturation values within the framework of this approach was demonstrated and conclusions were drawn about the need to use other methods, based on the injection and withdrawal of gas agents that are nonequilibrium in the reservoir hydrocarbon system.
