Annotation:

The article assesses the oil and gas potential of the Devonian terrigenous complex, which has ambiguous forecast of resource potential in the north-east of the Volga-Ural oil and gas province. In this area, the sediments are characterized by high lithological heterogeneity, uncertainty of generation sources and overall generation potential of hydrocarbons. The terrigenous Devonian prospects in the regional terms have not been assessed for several decades. The article summarizes and analyzes the actual material. To assess the prospects of oil and gas bearing potential of the Emsian-Lower-Frasnian deposits, the method of ranking the territory according to a set of features (de Borda method) was used. Calculations and analysis were performed on the basis of parameters that take into account both the own generation potential of the studied complex and that one of the overlying and underlying complexes as well as data on the migration and accumulation conditions of the complex. The relation of geological conditions of the rocks formation in the area under study with revealed, so the prospective areas were identified in the central part of the Bymsko-Kungur monocline and the Rakshinskaya saddle.
