Annotation:
With the general tendency of hydrocarbon resource base quality decline, the Republic of Belarus is ramping momentum of activities aimed at comprehensive studying and developing of hard-to-recover reserves including so-called "unconventional" reservoirs of "shale type" in the deposits of the Upper Devonian intersalt complex (D3el-D3ptr), characterized by the regional spreading within the limits of Pripyat oil- and gas-bearing territory. The strategy of studying and developing hard-to-recover reserves of Elets-Petrikovskiy age Production Association "Belorusneft" is primarily aimed at the objects with good infrastructure and proved petroleum potential. Carbonate deposits of I-III packs of Rechitskoye oilfield and adjacent territories are one of the objects of interest.
Within the framework of fulfilling a complex project directed at localization, estimation and development of that object, a full complex of laboratory studies on core material of 14 wells (lithological-sedimentological, mineralogical, geochemical, pyrolytical, petrophysical, geomechanical) was performed. Based on the results obtained, mineralogical, petrophysical, geochemical, geomechanical and lithological-facial models were built; geological model refinement, resource base assessment and correction of wells fund location were carried out.
