Annotation:

The study identified two sediment complexes (Cenozoic and Paleozoic-Mesozoic) within the explored and unexplored territories of the Bohaivan oil and gas-bearing megabassin, which differ in the history of tectonic development, lithological and facies composition of their rocks and the degree of their transformation. Together, these and other differences predetermined the degree of prospects of the complexes from the point of view of separate planning of geological exploration for oil and gas. The influence of geodynamic compression stresses on the accelerated maturation of organic matter, the release of hydrocarbons and the formation of oil and gas deposits under conditions of low (MK1-MK3) and high (MK4-AK3) transformation of rocks is shown. The ontogenesis of deposits in rocks with varying intensity of geodynamic stresses of stretching and compression allowed us to substantiate the zonality of the oil and gas potential of the considered rock complexes on the territory of the the Bohaiwan megabasin under the conditions of preferential accumulation of oil and natural gas. Hence the directed (targeted) searches, exploration and development of gas, oil and gas condensate and oil fields.
