Annotation:

The resource base reduction of hydrocarbon (HC) traditional sources and the necessity of maintaining the current levels of hydrocarbons production require the development of medium- and long-term strategic plans for geological exploration. However, currently, there is no method in the practice of planning exploration that would allow oil and gas producing companies to determine the optimal direction of development of raw materials resource base. An effective solution in this situation can be a developed method based on the matrix of the exploration portfolio positioning after assessing its geological and economic potential.
