Annotation:

The current state of the mineral resource base of almost all oil and gas provinces of the Russian Federation is characterized by extremely high production. This is a particularly acute issue for the West Siberian oil and gas province, since the process of depletion of long-discovered deposits is increasing, and the discovery of new ones is rare. The geological structure detailing allows maintaining the efficiency of hydrocarbons extraction from "aging" objects as well as getting with deposits that have not been put into development, characterized by the complexity of the geological structure and low debits. Deposits of alluvial-deltaic genesis were discovered long time ago and are widespread everywhere, however, detailed geological models reflecting their genesis and detail are still not being created en masse. The authors of the article raise the problem of the necessity of taking into account erosion processes and sandy lithophacial objects in modern geological modeling, formed as a result of the river systems activity. According to the authors’ opinion, this type of complications in the West Siberian oil and gas province is non-deservedly ignored today, although it deserves to be allocated to a separate class.
