Annotation:
Based on the study of the structural-genetic features of the A4
reservoir carbonate rocks of the Middle Carboniferous Bashkir stage and post-sedimentation processes, the following types of reservoirs-porous, cavernous-porous, fractured-porous, fractured – are distinguished within the boundaries of Samara region. A reef complex of the Bashkir stage has been identified and proven. The seal of the oil accumulations of the A4
reservoir is the dense carbonates of the Bashkirian stage Melekes horizon, where they were not subjected to erosion, and dense clays at the base of the Verei horizon. The thickness of the cap varies from 3 to 80 m, decreasing in the northern and eastern directions. When developing deposits of this type, it is required to take into account the rapid increase of the extracted products water cut. It is necessary to apply methods that limit water inflow and intensify oil production as well as to recommend the use of ESP with a capacity of 160...300 m3/day for optimal development, achieving maximum oil recovery factor and preventing premature water breakthrough to the bottom of production wells.
