Study of geomechanical properties of reservoir rocks of one of the deposits in Kaliningrad region

Annotation:

The author of the article presents the results of laboratory studies of porosity, dynamic, elastic and strength properties productive formations of terrigenous deposits of one of the oil fields in the Kaliningrad region. The physical and mechanical characteristics of the reservoir were studied by dynamic, static (uniaxial and pseudo-triaxial) methods. Based on the statistical analysis of the experimental results, relationships between the dynamic characteristics and open porosity of core samples were identified. For rock properties determined by the static method, the best correlation was obtained for the dependence of Young modulus on compressive strength. In conclusion, the distribution of rocks elastic and strength properties, determined by various methods, depending on the depth, was constructed.
