Annotation:
The authors of the article consider the problem of tight gas reservoirs development (the first meters) by using horizontal wells of various designs. The main geometrical parameters required for variation and determination of a horizontal section optimal length have been calculated. The wellbore horizontal section length for the layer of low effective gas saturated thickness and high proximity to the aquifer has been numerically substantiated. Further on, the technological modes of wells operation and economic restrictions providing for the equivalence of the calculated variants initial conditions have been determined for calculating the principal development indicators. Three variants of development with usage of different wells designs have been estimated with the help of a hydrodynamic simulator. Optimal gas development option was determined according to the value of cumulative production. The dependence of the product final water-flooding value on a well design has been analyzed and the reasons for the early water breakthrough and premature water-flooding have been revealed. Based on the calculation results, recommendations on the optimal horizontal wells design in terms of accepted technological and economic constrains were given.
