Annotation:
The geological model is built by using a comprehensive methodology based on facies analysis. This approach provides a sedimentation detailed description, being essential for predicting characteristics of productive formations. The comprehensive methodology includes integration of seismic survey data, well logging and core analysis.
Facies analysis, as a key component, allows establishing genetic relationship between different lithological varieties and determining their relative positions within the geological section. This fact contributes to building a more accurate and reliable geological model, required for the effective planning and execution of geological exploration at the field.
The authors of the article present an approach to the integration of the data obtained in the course of geological-geophysical, seismic facies and lithofacies analysis. The application of multi-aspect data analysis allowed accounting for the geological structure variability, thus enhancing the reliability of the hydrocarbon reserves forecast.
Such integrated approach corresponds to contemporary trends in the field of geological modeling aimed at mitigating risks during the exploration and development of deposits.
