Annotation:
As a result of sedimentological study of Hauterivian-Barremian sequences, characterized by core from wells, drilled in the northern part of the Caspian Sea in the territory of the Caspian-Mangyshlak system of uplifts, lithotypization was performed. Petrotypes were also identified and on this basis facies of the transitional, lower and middle-upper prefrontal zones of the beach; sandy, mixed and silt tidal shallows and tidal channel, related to the model of high-energy coast with tidal action were established. The findings will be used in the process of system analysis of layer associations for practical purposes: in determining the patterns of placement and conditions of formation of oil and gas fields, forecasting their search, exploration and assessment of reserves.
