Testing the "Method of repeated hydraulic fracturing" technology in the fields of the Western Siberia

Annotation:

Many fields in the Western Siberia are currently at the final stage of development. At the same time hydraulic fracturing is used almost everywhere, which, together with high current water cut, makes it impossible to carry out repeated hydraulic fracturing. For conditions of dissected reservoirs of high capacity with heterogeneous vertical development of reserves, it is possible to carry out hydraulic fracturing with preliminary isolation of roof watered intervals. However this method of reservoir intensification is a labor-intensive and costly undertaking.

An alternative method for carrying out repeated hydraulic fracturing of the reservoir is proposed with the injection of bentonite clay in the linear gel flow by the hydraulic fracturing fleet at the first stage and proppant hydraulic fracturing at the second stage.

Experimental work has been carried out, demonstrating the prospects for the proposed solution. The input oil flow rate increase was at the level of 7 tons/day and the water cut was reduced by 6 %. It is expected to continue the work at the BV8 and BS102-3 sites of the West Siberian region.
