Annotation:

Currently, about 80 % of wells, using primary multistage hydraulic fracturing technology, have not undergone secondary hydraulic fracturing. One of the reasons for the low volume of work in this field is the non-uniform internal diameter of the ball assemblies for multistage hydraulic fracturing (MSHF) installed in ball-seat couplings (seating saddles for actuating the tooling). After the ball is seated, a stage of hydraulic fracturing is performed, after which the next ball, the diameter of which is larger than that of the pervious one, is dropped and the operations are repeated. Consequently, the repeated hydraulic fracturing is possible only after operation to normalize the wellbore. The authors of the article analyzed the potential of implementing the drilling out the multistage hydraulic fracturing equipment as a separate type of geological-technical measures to identify the most technologically and economically efficient solutions. The process of drilling out assembly for multistage hydraulic fracturing is described. Optimization solutions for the drilling out process are proposed.
