Annotation:
Hydraulic fracturing of a formation causes its partial destruction, the subsequent operation of wells is frequently complicated by the release of solid particles (mechanical impurities) from the bottomhole, as well as by the inflow of loose proppant particles into the pump. The authors show how the occurrence of mechanical impurities in the produced fluid affects the operation of downhole installations, and the number of well maintenance operations. The paper provides information on the results of measures implemented to prevent mechanical impurities from getting into the pump, whereupon the situation with wells complicated by mechanical impurities has significantly improved.
