Annotation:

At present, the emphasis in the country’s oil production is more and more shifting towards the fields of the Eastern Siberia and the Far East, a significant part of reserves of which belongs to carbonate deposits. The active development of carbonate reservoirs is impeded by such factors as the complex structure of the pore space, the high heterogeneity of the reservoir properties, the rapid increase in water cut during flooding, due to the predominant hydrophobization of the enclosing rocks surface. To develop reserves of these objects, hydrocarbon gas can be used as a stimulating agent, the injection of which will not only maintain the reservoir pressure, but also, under certain conditions (high proportion of medium components), enhance oil recovery. The paper considers the problem of comparative assessment of the efficiency of oil displacement by water and gas and water rims in a cavernous-porous carbonate reservoir. The results of the laboratory experiments on the core of one of the fields in the Eastern Siberia, located in the north of the Irkutsk region, are presented.
