Annotation:

The paper discusses the possible reasons for the formation of liquid "plugs" at the bottomhole of horizontal gas condensate wells of the Pyakyakhinskoye field. When gas flow rates are insufficient, liquid accumulates at the bottomhole of gas condensate wells, causing a decrease of pressure, up to a complete cessation of fluid flow from the formation. This phenomenon has a negative impact on the profitability of gas condensate wells operation due to operating costs increase and is the reason for a decrease of the gas recovery factor. The paper presents the results of calculations performed using special software to determine the optimal operating mode for gas condensate wells, taking into account the existing risks of liquid "plugs" at the bottomhole. Recommendations are given on the implementation of measures to prevent complications.
