Annotation:

Drilling of horizontal wells is a widely used technology in the modern oil industry, including Russian fields. As a rule, drilling of such wells is carried out with geo-steering - interactive drilling of a horizontal wellbore based on logging data and measurements while drilling LWD (Logging While Drilling). The main disadvantages of this approach are the high cost of work and dependence on the technologies of foreign companies. The paper analyzes the currently available domestic LWD technologies, formalizes approaches to the selection of optimal LWD complexes based on the calculation of the geo-steering complexity parameter, taking into account the geological features of the objects and the experience of laying horizontal wells at the fields of the Perm Territory.
