TO THE QUESTION OF DISPLACEMENT FACTORS JUSTIFICATION WHEN DESIGNING OIL FIELDS DEVELOPMENT

Annotation:

The paper considers one of the two fundamental parameters required for calculating the oil recovery factor in the design and technical documentation for the development of oil fields - the oil displacement factor. A description of the methodological approach to determining the oil displacement factor by water in laboratory conditions and methods of its application (justification) for specific development targets (formations), which have been repeatedly tested at the fields of the Volga-Ural oil- and gas-bearing province, are presented. The main problems of displacement factors justification for the fields of the Volga-Ural oil- and gas-bearing province are described in the design and technical documentation during the expertise at the FBU "GKZ" and subsequent protection in state bodies. A comparative analysis is provided on a practical example to justify displacement coefficients when using various methodological approaches. On the basis of the data presented in the paper and the previously obtained research experience, criteria for the applicability of each methodological approach are formulated, depending on certain conditions.
