Annotation:

The necessary parameters of building a reliable digital geological-hydrodynamic model of an oil reservoir are the reservoir fluids properties, which are obtained as a result of laboratory studies of deep oil samples. There are various methods for assessing the quality of research results – for example, using pressures, statistical analysis of the results obtained, and many others. It is known that the quality of the results obtained is influenced, inter alia, by the methods and technologies of sampling. However, the researcher does not always have the full package of initial data; therefore, it is often necessary to assess the quality of the studies performed on the basis of the available data, the reliability of which is beyond doubt. The article proposes an original indirect method for assessing the representativeness of deep oil samples, based on the study of the hydrocarbons component composition, which can be determined qualitatively using chromatographic studies. The hydrocarbons component composition (gas and liquid phases) allows the joint solution of the Raoult and Dalton equations to determine the value of the phase equilibrium constant for the considered thermal-baric conditions. Then, comparing the obtained value of the phase equilibrium constant with the known data, a conclusion is made about the possibility of phase equilibrium of the mixture under consideration. If the obtained constants coincide with the known values, a conclusion is made about the quality of the results obtained in laboratory studies.
