Annotation:

Based on the requirements of the technology of profile control in reservoirs with high salinity in the Tuha oil field, the effect of gelation resulting from the reaction of sodium silicate and reservoir water, their transport and blocking properties in the reservoir were studied. The results show that with a decrease in the permeability of the core, the radius of the pore channels decreases, and the transformation ability of the formed inorganic gel and precipitate in the pores decreases. When the concentration of sodium silicate ranges from 0,03 mol/L to 0,06 mol/L, the formed inorganic gel and precipitate after the reaction has a high migration capacity in the core pores, and the resistance coefficient, residual resistance coefficient and blocking rate are high.
