Determination of the optimal mode of a short-time periodic operation of low flow rate wells by means of using electric centrifugal pump

Annotation:

Was performed the analysis of electric centrifugal pump (ESP) operation in short-term periodical (STP) mode based on statistical data of 476 low flowrate wells at the one of the West Siberia oilfields. It was shown that during ESP operation in the STP mode, the optimal ratio of the pump performance to the well flow rate is from 3 to 5. Was determined the optimal ESP operating time in one STP cycle and given recommendations to select the optimal ESP size, depending on the well flow rate.
