Experimental studies of the hydrophobizing properties of the compositions used in the technologies of a formation hydraulic fracturing

Annotation:

One of the reasons for watering wells is the formation of a water-saturated zone in the bottomhole formation zone. The increased water saturation of the near-wellbore zone reduces its permeability for oil during joint filtration of oil and water, i. e. limits oil inflow from the formation to the well. Therefore, the search for ways to solve the problem of intensifying the inflow of oil into a production well is associated with a change in the filtration conditions for water in the bottomhole formation zone. The expected effect is to increase the oil production rate due to hydrophobization of the near-wellbore part of the formation and a corresponding increase of oil relative permeability in this zone.

To develop a methodology of studying the effect of chemicals on the change in wettability, the authors of the article carried out a choice of basic methods for determining the change of wettability; rationale of samples preparation methods and the use of certain fluids; integration of methods in the cycle of laboratory research.

Based on the results of the laboratory studies analysis of all studied cores of the Chernoozerskoye field, the most effective water repellent was determined, which is a mixture of nonionic surfactants in a water-alcohol solvent, and the effect of water salinity on the adsorption of oil active components in the presence of a water repellent was established.
