In the vast majority of oil producing companies, the main production problem is the operation of wells and field pipelines with asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits. Heavy components fall out of oil in case of a temperature natural decrease and adhere on the equipment surface. Due to the lack of effective inhibitors of paraffin formation, the improvement of technologies for removing such deposits continues. The article presents methods and technologies for determining the volume of deposits in wells and pipelines in order of their further rational removal using an organic solvent. Quantitative evaluation of deposits is carried out using two pressure sensors, thermometers or moisture meters, which measure the time of passage through an object with deposits of the liquid with changed properties: composition, density, temperature, viscosity or speed of movement. The volume of deposits is determined by the difference between the volume of the clean pipeline cavity and the volume of the reference liquid in the pipeline with deposits.

The article presents the theoretical provisions of the indirect measurement of the substance concentration in the object under observation by pressure sensors, based on the pressure classical representation as the number of the substance particles beats against the measuring device.
