Annotation:
The authors of the article present the results of the analysis of underground equipment failures in oil wells, paying special attention to assessing the influence of mechanical stresses arising during periodic operation of wells on the operational life of downhole equipment. The examples and calculations of changes in tubing (pumping and compressor pipes) loads are given with the assessment of such effects as a factor determining potential equipment failures. A key aspect of the work is the study of the effect of leakage of the check valve of electric submersible pump installations on the service life of downhole equipment during periodic well operation.
