Assessment of the hydraulic fracturing effectiveness in the production fund of the Devonian deposits of the Novo-Elkhovskoye field

Annotation:
The authors of the article present the results of assessment of various geological-technical measures and, in particular, hydraulic fracturing of a formation for the purpose of additional development of the Devonian deposits (Kynov-Pashiysky horizon) of the Novo-Elkhovskoye oilfield. In the process of analyzing the development of Kynov-Pashiysky productive horizon it was revealed that a sufficiently effective water injection system was implemented and more than 90 % of reserves have already been extracted.
Reservoir pressure at this site over the last period from 2011 to 2020 is almost at one and the same level (14,9…15,4 MPa), which is slightly lower than the initial one. It proves the fact that the potential production from these deposits is quite high and a larger scale application of various stimulation methods is required.
Hydraulic fracturing is one of the main technologies for intensifying the operation of the producting well stock of the analyzed object, which is confirmed by the high efficiency of the operations already carried out in 2020–2022.
The technological efficiency of hydraulic fracturing was assessed using Sazonov method. It was revealed that the use of hydraulic fracturing technology is an effective method for increasing oil recovery, but its use should be accompanied by a high-quality selection of wells-candidates.
