Methodology for substantiating optimal depression on the formation based on a feasibility study for the gas wells conditions of the Cenomanian and Valanginian deposits

Annotation:
The authors of the article purpose a methodology of selecting a reservoir depression for a group of wells that is optimal according to the criterion of maximum accumulated discounted cash flow. The proposed methodology takes into account the interaction of various factors complicating the operation of gas and gas condensate wells (flooding, hydrate formation, abrasive wear of field equipment). A brief description of methods for assessing the marginal depression on the reservoir, the excess of which leads to the operation of wells in conditions of complicating factors manifestation, is given. The methods allow forming a range of depression acceptable values per reservoir, which are used as initial data to build the dependence of the accumulated discounted cash flow on depression per reservoir. The methodology application has been tested in geological and field conditions of the Cenomanian and Valanginian deposits of gas and gas condensate fields in the Western Siberia. The use of the methodology is aimed at selecting and justifying the technological modes of gas wells operation, ensuring the technical and economic efficiency of gas production processes and reducing the risks of forced wells flooding, hydrate formation and unacceptable abrasive wear of technological equipment.
