Annotation:
The authors of the article consider the main problems of technological processes numerical modeling in the fuel and energy complex and suggest approaches to their solution. Key bottlenecks have been identified, including oversimplification of physical and mathematical models, limited data pool, uncertainty of initial conditions, lack of high-performance computing power, lack of uniform standards and low level of specialists qualification. The impact of these factors on the accuracy and reliability of modeling is analyzed as well as methods for overcoming them are proposed, such as improving the regulatory framework, developing parallel and distributed computing, and creating reference datasets. Special attention is paid to the problem of modeling the degassing of bottom water and accounting for occluded gas in oil, which directly affects the reliability of technological calculations. It is proved that a systematic approach, including revision of technological design standards, development of methodological guidelines and creation of a database on the products physical-chemical properties will improve the accuracy of modeling and reduce accidents at fuel and energy complex facilities.
