Annotation:

Methanol production is the oldest and largest gas-to-liquid conversion technology, which is used by a large number of operating plants around the world. This gas conversion trend is often used as a feedstock for other chemical substances. Methanol can also be further converted into dimethyl ether or synthetic gasoline for potential use as a liquid energy carrier/transport fuel. However, a growing proportion of methanol is eventually converted into liquid transport fuel or additive such as biodiesel and dimethyl ether. Thus, currently a significant proportion of methanol supply is used to produce liquid fuels and fuel additives, which reduces its use as a feedstock for producing chemicals for other purposes and increasing commercial, environmental and regional efficiency from the projects of utilization of oil production associated components.
