Problems and prospects for the development of gas supply and gasification of the Far East territory on the example of the Magadan region

Annotation:
The article considers the urgent problem in the field of development of the Far East gas supply and gasification on the territory of the Magadan region. A brief description of the region is presented in terms of the indicator of gasification, the level of the power resource supply and availability, inter-fuel competition. The purpose of the study conducted is to develop the main scenarios of the future development of the gas distribution and consumption system in the region, taking into account a number of its specific features (significant square area of the territory, developed hydropower and coal industry, low population number and density). The authors of the article considered the prospective fuel and energy balance of the Magadan region and came to the conclusion that it is necessary to draw up and approve it when developing General Schemes and Programs for the development of gas supply and gasification of the region. The main scenarios of the possible gas supply development in the Magadan region, which consist of the development of the regional hydrocarbon raw material base, the development of non-traditional sources of gas supply and the use of liquefied natural gas are proposed in the article.
