Annotation:

The paper provides a detailed review of two updated GRI Standards 2021 – GRI 1: Foundation 2021, GRI 2: General Disclosures 2021 and the first industry standard – GRI 11: Oil and Gas Sector 2021, which come into force on January 1, 2023. Changes in the wording and indicators of non-financial statements are analyzed, as well as new indicators for assessing the activities of organizations in the field of sustainable development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). A systematic analysis of the content and new requirements of the updated standards, in the author's opinion, will contribute to improving the efficiency of writing a non-financial report by Russian oil and gas companies.
