GRI Standards 2021: overview of the content and main changes in non-financial reporting in the field of sustainable development (part 2)

Annotation:

The paper provides a detailed review of the third updated Universal Standard GRI Standards 2021 series – GRI 3: Material Topics 2021 and the topics GRI 11: Oil and Gas Sector 2021, which come into force on January 1, 2023. Changes in the wording and indicators of financial statements are analyzed, as well as new indicators for assessing the activities of organizations in the field of sustainable development and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG). A systematic analysis of the content and new requirements of these standards, in the author's opinion, will contribute to improving the efficiency of writing a non-financial report by Russian oil and gas companies.
