Feasibility study of Kamenistoe field development in Kazakhstan

Annotation:

The article presents a technical-economic assessment (feasibility study) of the effectiveness of Kamenistoe oil and gas field development in Kazakhstan. The calculations were carried out using the express method and the dynamic method based on the economic methodology developed at Oil and Gas Research Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences. The application of these methods revealed good convergence and economic efficiency of the field development. The presented results indicate that the tax model of Kazakhstan flexibly takes into account changes in the initial technical-economic indicators due to the tax "maneuver" based on the use of sliding tax payment scales. The flexibility of Kazakhstan's tax model makes it possible to differentiate tax rates depending on the level of production and prices, which makes it possible to maintain the stability of the tax system in oil production due to the high capital intensity of production.
