Annotation:

The article presents brief reports of experts at the annual international conference held at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. The escalation of geopolitical tensions, sanctions war against Russia, sharp rise in prices and volatility of the energy market exacerbate the problems in the global economy, which has not recovered from coronavirus. The vector of global development is shifting towards Asia and cooperation within the EAEU has received now a new impetus. Decarbonization and accelerated energy transition put pressure on energy markets, and underinvestment in fossil fuels with rising demand for hydrocarbons will lead to higher prices and additional pressure on the economy.
