Annotation:

The article presents an assessment of the economic efficiency of coal mines degassing at the Vorkutsky field. The Zapolyarnaya mine was chosen as an object for calculating economic efficiency as the most indicative in terms of the extraction and use of coal methane. The calculation is based on the data provided by "Vorkutaugol" LLC. The article analyzes the costs of the Zapolyarnaya mine degassing and ventilation as well as the processing of the methane. The features of economic efficiency calculation of the projects for current intra-mine degassing are highlighted. A comparative analysis of economic effects in degassing projects and natural gas production projects at traditional fields is presented. Economic effects from the use of methane, reduction of methane emissions into the atmosphere, from improvement of the mining front use in coal mines are calculated. Mechanisms for assessing the economic and technical-economic efficiency of degassing are proposed. The conducted calculations made it possible to form recommendations for improving the calculation of economic indicators of mines degassing at the Vorkutsky field.
